There is no shortage of productivity hacks that can be found on Google. Some are better than others, but most will only create very minor, short-lived boosts in productivity. Here are 4 ideas that can dramatically boost your productivity.
Take it to Completion
Many times, people have issues with fully completing a task. They almost complete the task, but maybe leave 5% to 10% of it uncompleted. The task only appears to be complete, but not fully. This can be due to the pressure to get work done, but by not fully completing a task, it will cause more time spent once you have to get back into the task to finish it.
Do Less
Trying to take on too much causes a lack of focus and a distraction thinking about all of the tasks you need to complete. By doing less, you will accomplish more and focus on the important tasks. In order to do less you need to first eliminate unnecessary work or steps, simplify your business and life, then delegate tasks that can easily be handled by others.
Pay Attention to Your Sleep
Getting enough sleep is the simplest, but probably the hardest productivity hack to incorporate. Once it’s made into a habit, it becomes easier, but you can easily backslide into poor sleeping habits if this is not a priority. High quality restful sleep will help you to feel calmer, more focused, and increase your memory. To keep it simple, good sleep makes you smarter and poor sleep does the opposite.
Diet Matters
Along with sleep, diet can significantly impact your mental functioning, such as causing or preventing brain fog, and increasing or decreasing your energy levels. This is probably the hardest, but one of the best productivity hacks you can make, and it is easier to implement if you work with a health professional to determine any food sensitivities and which type of diet is best for you.
